2. Emily in Paris On Netflix

Emily in Paris is the story of a young American woman, Emily Cooper, who embraces her adventurous new life while juggling work, friends, and romance.

3. Bombshell On Amazon Prime Video

The film is based on true events of how a group of women come together to expose Fox News CEO Roger Ailes for sexual harassment.

Bombshell received rave reviews, with audiences loving the performances of lead cast Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, and Margot Robbie, who were also nominated for various prestigious awards owing to their performance.

The Father show has an emotional show. The Anthony Hopkin starrer was praised for its story and performances.

Anthony Hopkins plays an ailing, octogenarian Londoner who is also suffering to dementia, he further feels forsaken when his only daughter Anne informs him that she is moving to Paris.

5. Mary Kills People

Dr Mary Harris works at Eden General Hospital’s emergency unit to save people’s lives. At night, though, she turns her attention to a different approach. Working with her partner, a former plastic surgeon, Mary moonlights as an underground angel of death.

Together, they help terminally ill patients end their lives on their own terms. As her world starts to unravel, it starts to get complicated when the police start investigating them. 

6. Lust Stories

Female sexuality is a topic that few dares to explore and when done well, it can translate into funny, awkward and even sweet tales, such as in Lust Stories.

The anthology by four of India’s biggest directors including Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Anurag Kashyap has its hit and miss moments but it certainly deserves credit for showing us real women with their relatable desires.

7. Engineering Girls

Engineering Girls Season 1 is a five-episode show starring Krithika Avasthi, Barkha Singh, and Sejal Kumar. The show follows the lives of girls who live in an engineering girls’ hostel.

Season 1 of this series, directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, premiered on Netflix in 2018. Because many female founders and engineers are doing incredible work in STEM fields, but their perspectives and worlds are rarely seen in mainstream content, Engineering Girls set out to change that with its seasons.

8. SHE

SHE is one of the top ten most-watched web series on Netflix in India.

The story of a cop who goes undercover as a sex worker is told in this crime drama starring Aditi Pohankar.

Bhumi is a Mumbai police officer, who then transforms into a sleazy hooker in no time. Her demeanour was the clincher in determining her personality.

She handled both extremes admirably. Imtiaz Ali’s series depicts the role of a woman’s body in asserting authority over her oppressors.

9. Leila

Leila is a show about a mother who has lost her child and wants to find him, but she runs into a lot of difficulties and gets herself into a lot of trouble.

As the threat of impending doom looms, fear makes you uneasy. The show revolves around the character of Huma Qureshi. The series, which is available on Netflix, also stars Siddharth, Rahul Khanna, and a slew of other actors.

This awesome web series Leila is on Netflix India original series and has fascinated audiences with its gritty, powerful, and brave story.

10. Four More Shots Please! – Season 1 and 2 

Seasons 1 and 2 of this female-centric series are now available on Amazon Prime Video, with Season 3 on the way. This is an excellent watch for a girls’ night out.
