The Police shot a 17-year-old teenager. The President appealed to parents to keep their children off the streets and blamed the influence of social media for exacerbating the situation.
According to police reports, a total of 270 individuals were arrested across the country by midnight.
Despite the government’s repeated calls for calm and enhanced policing, severe violence happens throughout the day.
In the city of Strasbourg, an Apple store was targeted by looters, to control looters the police deployed tear gas.
Additionally, a fast-food restaurant in a shopping mall near Paris had its windows smashed, while law enforcement officers successfully repelled attempts to break into a closed store.
In response to the severe riots situation, the French national football team, captained by Kylian Mbappe, issued a statement encouraging an end to the violence and advocating for dialogue and reconstruction.
The Football team expressed shock over the tragic death of young Nahel and called for peaceful and constructive means of expressing grievances.
The young boy, known as Nahel M lost his life during a traffic stop that occurred on Tuesday. His funeral will be held today.

After a police officer shot and killed 17-year-old Nahel in Nanterre, France, two consecutive nights of protests have unfolded in the city and have gradually spread to other regions.
The officer allegedly fired at the teenager while he was attempting to escape from the police, citing concerns for his own safety. The entire incident was captured in a video.
According to reports from French media, initial police statements suggested that the 17-year-old, who was of North African descent, deliberately drove his car toward them in an attempt to harm them. However, video footage posted online shows an officer aiming his weapon at the driver through the car window and seemingly firing at close range as the driver tried to flee.
