Power Star Trailer: The trailer of Ram Gopal Varma’s controversial political satire, Powerstar has now been released after the video had gotten leaked. The film’s trailer begins with a note saying that it is dedicated to Pawan Kalyan fans.

- The trailer begins with Pawan Kalyan’s character indulging in several activities such as farming etc.
- The director has maintained for the longest time that the film is not based on Pawan Kalyan or any person though fans of the South superstar have been super irked with RGV for casting a look-alike of Pawan Kalyan who is also named as Pawan Kalyan.
- Since Powerstar Official Trailer was leaked online, RGV had taken to Twitter to inform that those who had paid to for a special viewing of the trailer, will be returned their money.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote, “POWERSTAR official trailer which was supposed to release at 11 AM today has leaked out …we suspect that it is the work of one of our own office staff ..we take full responsibility and all people who paid for the trailer will be returned their money ASAP.”
- The trailer shows Pawan Kalyan’s look-alike running for elections and while RGV may deny it, the film does have a major connection to the superstar.
- It was announced a few days ago, that for the first time in Indian cinema, he has kept even trailer as pay per view basis.
- The trailer viewing was charged at Rs 25.
- Powerstar is among the other string of releases that the director has churned out amid lockdown for digital release.
- Previously he directed Climax and Nude which were released digitally on Shreyas ET.
