Night Curfew In Delhi From Today: The “sudden spike in Covid-19 cases” and “high positivity rate” meant a night curfew was needed, the Delhi Government said in its order.

From today (6 apr,2021) Delhi imposed a night curfew till 30th April 2021 to fight with a steep rise in Covid infections and condition is going worse day bay day and the country reported over 1 lakh cases in a single day.

The “sudden increase in Covid-19 cases” and “high positivity rate” meant a night curfew was needed, the Delhi Government said in its order.

During night curfew hours, those going for vaccinations and the movement of essential services will be allowed with e-passes, officials said.

Who Is Exempt From Night Curfew In Delhi

Private doctors, nurses, other medical staff and journalists will be allowed on the streets with ID cards Compulsary. Exceptions will also be made for pregnant women and those needing treatment.

Those travelling to or from the airport, train and bus stations will be allowed on the road if they produce their tickets.  

This is the toughest order by the Delhi government since the start of a fresh surge in coronavirus infections in the capital, home to 25 million people.

The night curfew was being enforced to check the movement of people, not essential services, the Delhi government said

Some other States like Maharashtra and Rajasthan have also launched night curfews to restrict movement in the middle of a spike in Covid cases across the country.

Night Curfew In Delhi From Today

Maharashtra has announced a weekend lockdown and a tough 8 pm to 7 am curfew. Rajasthan’s night curfew is from 8 pm to 6 am.
