Gippy Grewal’s Ardaas Karaan to re-release in New Zealand on June 25 as theatres reopen next week

Gippy Grewal is all set to re-release his Punjabi film, Ardaas Karaan, in New Zealand on June 25. Theatres in the country will re-open next week, after months of being shut due to lockdown in the wake of the novel coronavirus.

The official poster for the re-release of the film in New Zealand was launched on Friday.

Originally released in July last year, Ardaas Kalaan is the sequel to the 2016 film, Ardaas. Gippy Grewal not only acted in the film, but also directed it. It also starred Gurpreet Ghuggi, Japji Khaira, Meher Vij and Sapna Pabbi, among others.

Recently, New Zealand government lifted all social and economic restrictions except border controls and declared it had no new or active cases of the coronavirus. However, on Tuesday, it said that it has two new infections. On Thursday, another case was recorded, making the total number of coronavirus-positive cases 3, after the country declared itself among the first countries in the world to be free of the virus.
