Two student of GTU have developed a (battery operated) electric kit for motorcycles. This kit is enable to travel up to 80 km in just 25 paisa. as per the young developer said.

The students, Arpit Chauhan and Kartik Atreya, said the electric kit uses six batteries of lead acid and lithium that can power motorbikes and save on costs. “An electric motorbike can also reduce noise pollution by 10-12 decibels,” said Chauhan.

Vice chancellor Prof Mr. Navin Sheth said the team of students have started research to develop similar electric kits for cars,tractors and auto-rickshaws.

Chauhan and Atreya said they spent six years on research and experiments before successfully developing the electric kit. “Now, we are trying to develop such electric kits for other automobiles like tractors, auto-rickshaws, cars and bicycles,” they said.
