Rubina Dilaik, who was born on 26th August, 1987 in Shimla, won the Miss North India pageant in 2008 in Chandigarh. She was also won Miss Shimla in year 2006. Very few people know that Rubina Dilaik’s father is a writer, who has published several films in Hindi.
Rubina wanted to become an IANS (Indo-Asian News Service) but fate had something different plan for her. She was selected to play the lead role in ‘Chotti Bahu’ after she cracked the auditions. The Pahadi beauty become very popular after playing the role of Radhika in Zee TV’s ‘Chotti Bahu’ serial.
She worked in many popular shows like ‘Saas Bina Sasural’, ‘Punar Vivah – Ek Nayi Umeed’, ‘ Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev’ and ‘Jeannie Aur Juju’. Rubina took the risk of playing the role of a transgender in ‘Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ opposite Vivian Dsena.
All the hard work and efforts paid off as the show topped the charts for several months. The talented actress was honoured with the “Best Actress (Jury) award” at the Indian Television Academy Awards in 2016.
Rubina quit ‘SAKEK (Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki)’ after the show took a generation leap. Ardent fans of the show even requested the makers to retain her.
Dilaik tied the knot with Abhinav Shukla in June 2018 in a dreamy ceremony in Himachal Pradesh. The couple’s personal life became the topic of discussion after Rubina revealed that they were on the brink of divorce.
